Art under fire

Art Athina (www.art-athina.gr)
Freedom of speech and more specifically art is currently under attack with a new act of brutality enforced by the Greek police. During the “art athina fair”, a video piece by director Eva Stefani was confiscated for its “insulting and immoral content”, an act that is commonplace in totalitarian regimes. Those who argue that the video piece insulted the national sentiment are in turn insulting our intelligence and depriving us of our basic freedoms.
